The NHS are calling all Nurses to support our NHS in this time of need, to help tackle the pandemic and provide a ‘rapid response’ to essential patient care. If you have an NMC registration (current or lapsed), or appropriate nursing experience you can join any NHS Trust within 24-hours.

You can help, if you are: NMC Registered/Previously Registered Nurses employed by the NHS either in Permanent or Bank (Managed Service or In-house) positions | NMC Registered/Previously Registered Nurses working outside of the NHS: Retired Registrants, Nursing Agencies; in the military; private healthcare; nursing homes or in other public healthcare settings | Student Nurses (3rd year)

Harrow Giving has set up a fund to support front line organisations that are working with the affected communities.

Felix Project Looking for Volunteers

The Felix Project have operations in West London (Park Royal). We collect fresh, nutritious food that cannot be sold and deliver it to charities and schools so they can provide healthy meals and help the most vulnerable in our society. A lot of our regular volunteers are older so we have started to see a big drop in numbers, so are struggling to fulfill many of our shifts, and therefore risk not being able to get food to vulnerable people at a time when they need it more than ever.

This is frontline support helping the most vulnerable people.

We are looking for:

  • new volunteers who can help as drivers (must be aged 21+), co-drivers, or depot assistants. You can sign up as a volunteer here and get started straight away: https://thefelixproject.org/help-us/volunteer-london We have volunteer shifts 6 days a week, at different times of day, including evening volunteering in central London
  • continued food supply – if you work for a supermarket, restaurant, wholesaler, etc etc and have excess food, we would love to hear from you. https://thefelixproject.org/contact-us

Donations of hand sanitizer

A number of our local organisations who work directly with clients; providing home care or transport are not able to find hand sanitizer.

If you have any spare to donate to a local cause please contact us and we will distribute it to local organisations. [email protected]
